Martine Hamilton Knight DLitt (hon) is a long established, award winning, independent architectural photographer based in the city of Nottingham. Her images have been published internationally and are regularly featured in architectural books and journals.

Specialising in Architectural photography since 1990, Martine travels across the country for her clients who include architects, construction companies, interior designers and advertising agencies. All aspects of architecture and all types of buildings and settings are covered including offices, hotels, restaurants, schools, shopping centres, historical buildings, sporting facilities and residential projects.

In 2012, The University of Nottingham awarded her with an honorary doctorate, doctor of Letters Honoris Causa, in recognition of her work. In summer of 2013 she was asked by Manfrotto, the main supplier of tripods and camera supports globally to become one of their international brand ambassadors.  Martine is in regular demand for her courses on architectural photography and also teaches on the Masters Commercial Photography course at Nottingham Trent University.

In 2015 she celebrated 25 years in business with a retrospective exhibition in the centre of Nottingham which ran throughout the summer months. In 2017 she was a finalist in the Women In Construction Awards, nominated by Helen Burnett of Lungfish Architects who said, “Not only does Martine capture perfectly stunning architectural shots, she also brings the buildings to life by including their end users which is vital to demonstrate the outcomes of our projects.”
